Nominations are open for the Cancer Symptom Trials Emerging Trialist Award

Cancer Symptom Trials (CST) recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievement and contribution of its emerging clinical trial researchers.

Nominations of an emerging investigator who has excelled in their research into cancer symptoms during 2024 are now open.

Who

An emerging clinical trial researcher who:

  • has held CST membership for at least 12 months
  • has undertaken research into cancer symptoms
  • has been a lead or participating investigator in their first or second clinical trial
  • is from any health discipline
  • is a student, early-career researcher or mid-career researcher

Criteria

Achieved significant milestones such as:

  • funding received
  • ethics approval and site activation
  • recruitment – first patient in
  • recruitment – reached target
  • publication
  • presentation – oral and/or poster

What

  • $1,000 award and a certificate
  • Funding can be used for any research-related activity

When

Nominations are due by 21 February 2025. To be awarded at the PaCCSC & CST Annual Research Forum on 27 March 2025.
